Dearborn Class of 2019 graduates!

On a night when the skies were bright and shining through the school's Atrium skylight, family members, friends, faculty, staff and community members jammed into the beautiful Dearborn to welcome a new class of Dearborn STEM Academy graduates. The night started and ended the same way with Ms. Yolanda Knight leading some members of our instrumental group in Pomp and Circumstance.

In between the audience was treated to heartfelt senior tributes by faculty members, a moving speech by Class Valedictorian Lenylse Ferreira and a spirited sendoff by Class President Nakhia Taylor! Several members of the class were also presented with special awards for their contributions to the school community.

A special thanks to all of the faculty and staff who went above and beyond in ensuring a great event. A special shoutout to Counselor Tim Likosky.

Our students...

Ms Harrington was away for two days supporting the 8th grade overnight
trip to Thompson Island. When her last period class saw her getting back to school they decided to surprise her by making sure her classroom was in perfect shape.

After sending a scout to make sure she was heading up, they stayed in the room after the bell to surprise her and welcome her back to her super clean room!
