Harriet Tubman worked as a spy , cruiser and nurse for the Union Army during the Civil War in the United States.

She was the first American woman who planned and led a military operation combai ferry RAID in June 1863.

In this raid that freed 750 slaves.

For many years,Harriet raised funds to build the African American home sick and elderly.The House was built on land she bought in 1896, near her home in Oberon.

March 10, 1913 Harriet Tubman died at the age of 93. She was buried with full military honors.
