A Note from Mrs. Lee
Dear Parents,
It's hard to believe, but we are already finishing up nine weeks of school. To celebrate the students for their hard work, PTA is hosting the Color Run tomorrow evening at 5:30. It is one our favorite events of the year, and I hope to see all of you there.
I wanted to mention the Green Star School once again today because it is an important initiative for our school. We thank our parent and teacher leaders for taking this on to foster children and adults in taking care of our environment. We strive for excellence in many areas including academics, character building, and multiple disciplines. This year, we widen the realm by taking action steps in taking care of the world we live in. We ask that you start having conversations about recycling and preserving nature with your child. More information will be coming soon. We appreciate you in advance for your commitment in raising our children in becoming responsible citizens. www.plano.gov/greenschoolprogram

“Not every hero wears a cape. Plan and Practice your Escape!”
This year’s FPW campaign, “Not Every Hero Wears a Cape. Plan and Practice Your Escape!” works to educate everyone about the small but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safe.
Did you know?
In a typical home fire, you may have as little as one to two minutes to escape safely from the time the smoke alarm sounds. Escape planning and practice can help you make the most of the time you have, giving everyone enough time to get out.
Plan ahead for your escape. Make your home escape plan and practice today.

Nurses Corner
Hello, Parents!
This week on announcements, we discussed the proper way to wash your hands. Unfortunately, we did not have time to show the video of Henry the Hand at his school visit, but I have included it in the message so you can watch it with your little ones. Please go to https://video.search.yahoo.com/search/video?fr=mcafee&p=henry+the+hand+video#id=1&vid=8314aba8012a8c83f6cb762b67e68fb6&action=click and enjoy watching the proper way to clean your hands. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to help make your children healthier!
