I am thankful for our entire Wasco Community. I have the privilege to watch students, teachers and parents interact to create magical moments of laughter, joy, and pride. We hope Thanksgiving break brings a pause to your routine so that you can connect and enjoy the company of those you hold dear.

Spirit Club

The members of the Wasco Spirit Club decided for the month of November that it would be a great activity for all of the classrooms to make feathers with what they are grateful for written on them. This activity was awesome and helped Wasco School show gratitude! Thank you to all our Spirit Club members for this creative all school activity! A special thank you to Mrs. Anderson, our Art Teacher for drawing our turkey! Happy Thanksgiving!

Let's Get To Know...

Amy Corda

Student Services Interventions

What makes a “good” day at school? Mrs. Corda: A good day at school for me is making positive connections with students and getting to know them as individuals. I love to ask students questions about their likes, dislikes, fears and successes. Having students greet me by name in the hallway each day brings a smile to my face and I strive to get to know each and every student's name in our building. I also love to walk into a class and see how engaged they are with their learning and hear them excited to be at school.

If I could pass on any piece of wisdom to my students it would be... Mrs. Corda: Always try your best! Everyone makes mistakes and it is through our mistakes that we learn and grow! Believe me - we ALL make mistakes! It’s what we do with our failures that’s important!

How do I like to spend my summer? Mrs. Corda: My husband and I have two grown daughters, one in medical school in North Carolina and the other studying psychology at Michigan State University (our Alma Mater). We do not get to be all together often enough, but we all look forward to traveling together, seeing new things and experiencing fun adventures! This past summer we visited the Grand Canyon and spent many hours hiking and enjoying the magnificent views! We are looking forward to our next adventure in Mexico, where we hope to snorkel, scuba dive and relax! Adventure awaits…
