Penguin Plunge, March 2 *Rescheduled to March 9*

The 2019 Penguin Plunge to benefit Special Olympics and Unified Sports at Wamogo will be held at Highland Lake in Winsted on March 9th. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. and the plunge is at 12:00 p.m. Plungers need to raise a minimum of $100 to plunge. Register online for your free event t-shirt!

Senior Scholarship Meeting, March 4 *Rescheduled to March 7*

Counselors will be meeting with all seniors on Thursday, March 7th during WIT in the auditorium to distribute the Wamogo Scholarship Application, as well as review how to access all the many scholarships available to them from local and state institutions.

Parents and students can find all available scholarships in Naviance any time.

West Side Story March 7, 8, 9 - 7:00 p.m.

Litchfield and Wamogo students have been working hard preparing for the LHS Players production of West Side Story.

Dates: March 7, 8, and 9

Time: 7:00 p.m.

Place: Litchfield Intermediate School Auditorium

Cost: $10 per ticket

Wamogo Town Meeting - March 15

Students will have the opportunity to meet with Superintendent Leone and Principal Loveland on Friday, March 15 during WIT to discuss school improvement. All students are welcome to bring their ideas, comments and questions on how to make Wamogo an even better school. Hot chocolate will be served.

Save the Date! College Financial Planning - March 27

It is never too early to start planning for college! Parents/ guardians of students of all ages residing in Region 6 are invited to attend a College Financial Planning Night presented by The Barnum Financial Group - Center for College Planning at Wamogo in the Library Media Center on March 27, 6:30 p.m.

Wamogo Warriors and Litchfield Cowboys Suits and Sneakers Game

The Wamogo boys basketball team in conjunction with the Litchfield boys basketball team raised over $2,100 during their Suits & Sneakers game on February 7.

The proceeds were divided between the American Cancer Society and The Connecticut Sports Foundation.

Shoe Drive

This month, a group of Agri-Science students and faculty will be traveling to South Africa. As an expression of friendship, Wamogo is sponsoring a shoe drive to support the youth from Makuleke Village in South Africa. We will be collecting new and/or gently used shoes. Collection boxes are located in the Main Office, Agri-Science Hallway, Middle School Hallway, and Wamogo School Store in the Library Media Center.

Grad Night Committee News

The Hopkins Inn Vineyard Event has been moved to March 14 at 7:00 p.m.!

Please join us for our Comedy Night May 4th at 8 p.m. at the Litchfield Firehouse. $30 tickets for 3 acts with Dave Reilly headlining - we guarantee lots of laughs and lots of fun.
