The Blue Angel Weekly

Dear PCA Families,
New Speech and Language Pathologist at PCA
Children's Mass
COVID reminders
Anyone who tests positive must stay at home for 5 full days before returning to school on Day 6, provided that there has been no fever for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medicines and that other symptoms are improving. (Please note that the first day of symptoms is considered Day 0.)
Siblings of positive cases may continue coming to school as long as they are not exhibiting ANY symptoms. Please use good judgement when sending siblings to school based on the amount of exposure they have had with the positive sibling.
T-shirt sizes needed!
The HSA is preparing for our annual Superhero Fun Run. Fundraising begins September 19th, with our runs taking place the week of October 3rd during your child's PE class.
We provide a t-shirt for each student to wear on their run day. In preparation for ordering the t-shirts, we ask that parents provide their students’ t-shirt size. Families will need to complete this survey to submit a t-shirt size for EACH of their children. Please complete the survey by Thursday, August 25th.

Thanks so much! Our Fun Run couldn’t be successful without your help! Please feel free to contact Liz Vianello (liz.vianello@gmail.com) with any questions.
Last Day for Spirit Wear Purchases!
Need PCA spirit wear for your child?
Every Friday, students and staff may wear their PCA spirit wear t-shirts or sweatshirts with their uniform bottoms and school approved shoes. The spirit wear shirts can replace their regular uniform shirt, but please make sure they are tucked in and worn with a belt. (Note - shirts must say PCA or Blue Angels to be considered spirit wear!) Students can wear spirit wear shirts, past Field Day shirts, past Superhero Fun Run shirts, or PE shirts.
Please follow the link below to order your PCA Spirit Wear! Select "Pick up in Person" and it will be delivered to your child's homeroom! The online store will close today!

Carpool
Effective immediately, we will begin unloading morning carline at 7:20 AM. We practiced this last week and it seemed to go smoothly. Students will wait in the main hall until 7:30 AM and then wait outside their classrooms until 7:45 AM. Remember that first period begins at 8:00 AM. Please make arrangements to get your child to school on time!
When entering the parking lot in the morning, if there is no officer there to guide cars in, PLEASE take turns turning into the lot. We need to have both lines turning in to avoid a back-up on either side of Palm Valley Road.
For afternoon carpool, please do not come earlier than your OLDEST child's release time. Middle school parents, your child's last class ends at 3:05 PM. Please do not come prior to that or they will be missing class time.
Virtues Program
Home projects for September will be sent home later next week by your child's teacher. Please be watching for that information!

Clubs
Below you will find all the club flyers/permission slips for our Fall clubs. The documents are named with numbers (or PK/K) preceding the club name. These numbers (or PK/K) indicate the grade level of students who can join the club. For example, "3 4 Junior Choir" indicates that 3rd and 4th graders can join that club.
Please peruse the flyers with your child and return the club forms to school ASAP, as most clubs are first come, first served.
