We are stronger together
Hello Friends and Families-
Just a quick note to let you know that we miss your physical presence here at May Roberts more than you know! It is not the same without the sounds of parents, staff and students in the building. In spite of that, I am so impressed with what we have done as a community to pull together and ensure students continue their educational journey in the middle of a pandemic. I see parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, big brothers and sisters, neighbors and friends helping students log in every day and attend to virtual classes. I know that this is incredibly hard and the struggle is real for many of our staff too as they juggle work as well as supporting their own children at home with virtual school. I speak for everyone at May Roberts when I say that we cannot wait to be back to normal with kids in their classrooms just as soon as it is safe to do so. Until then, please keep up the great work you do to support your students with on line learning. One of the most important things you can do is to stay as positive and as encouraging as possible. Our children look to us as the example. If we stay in control when things get challenging, they will too! Stay safe, and do not hesitate to reach out anytime.
Sincerely,
Marshell Hooker
Principal
