Denim Day - Everyone wear as much denim as you can


Tuesday, September 26th

Ghost Town Day - Wear your custom class colors


Powder Pufff Football Games

Wednesday, September 27th

Rodeo Day - Dress like a cowboy / cowgirl


Late Start - School begins at 10:15

Athletic Events for Homecoming Week....

Please come out and support our many athletic teams this week as we celebrate Homecoming.



Monday

1. JV/Varsity Soccer play Flushing for positioning near the top of the FML soccer standing. Game times at 5:00/6:30 here at Brandon

2. Girls Golf will be competing in the Metro League Golf Championships. Good luck ladies!

3. Volleyball will travel to compete against Flint Carman Ainsworth with games starting at 5:30


Tuesday

1. Brandon will be hosting the 2023 FML Tennis Championships.

2. Powder Puff game at the High School stadium from 6-8 PM.


Wednesday

1. All 3 levels of volleyball will be hosting the FML leading Lake Fenton Blue Devils. The Volleyball teams will also be hosting "youth night". If you have a young Blackhawk and think she is interested in volleyball, bring her out. We would love for them to experience their first Blackhawk volleyball match.

2. JV and Varsity Soccer will host Flint Powers and Corunna with game times at 4:30/6:15

3. Cross Country will travel to Fenton


Thursday

1. Swim will host Holly with a 6:00 start time.


Friday

1. Football will host Owosso with a 7:00 start time for our yearly Homecoming game. We welcome everyone to come early and walk the updated facilities around Brandon High School which include the gym, weight room, track and field, and baseball field. We will also have food trucks on site from 4-7 PM to help kick off this occasion. The food trucks will run from 4-7 PM and we hope to see you all before the game.

Late Start Wednesday...

Wednesay, September 27th is our first late start Wednesday of the school year. The beginning of the school day will begin at 10:15. For those of you that ride the bus, transportation will pick you up approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes later than usuall Please call the bus garage if you have any questions. Below is our scheule for this day:


1st Hour - 10:15 - 10:46

2nd Hour - 10:51 - 11:22

3rd Hour - 11:27 - 12:33

Free Financial Aid Virtual Webinars for Students and Familes

Students and families looking for help paying for college are encouraged to register for a Virtual Financial Aid Presentation provided by the MI Student Aid team. Participants will be able to gather information on the following financial aid topics:

· FAFSA application information

· Federal financial aid programs

· State financial aid programs

· Scholarship searching resources

Also, high school students and families interested in learning more about the Michigan Achievement Scholarship are invited to register for an informational Webinar provided by the MI Student Aid team. Participants will be able to gather the following information:

· Michigan Achievement Scholarship eligibility requirements

· Michigan Achievement Scholarship award amounts

· Important action items for students and families

· Additional resources and program information

All sessions are free of charge and open to the public. Register for one session only, as space is limited.

With school back in session, I just wanted to send out a reminder that the library still offers free tutoring for students K-12 on Mondays and Thursdays.
