August 28, 2015
We have had a wonderful first week of our 2015-2016 school year. Our students have learned their new routines very quickly, and great learning is happening in our classrooms. Thank you to all that have returned the paperwork that was sent home in the brown envelope. If you have not had a chance to return the forms, please do so very soon, so we can be sure we have your correct emergency contact information.
Our teachers will be sharing important curriculum information with you very soon. There will be two presentations on each of the following nights. Feel free to choose the 6pm or the 7pm session.
Tuesday, September 8: PPCD, Pre-K, Kindergarten & First Grade
Monday, September 14: 3rd & 5th
Thursday, September 17: 2nd & 4th
Thank you for sharing your awesome children with us! We are going to have a SUPER year!
Ways to Stay Connected
This year our newsletter is going digital! This will save a great deal of time and money. The website that we are using allows for information to be input very quickly without worrying about formatting. We will eliminate paper costs, and the information will always be easily accessible. The information can also be updated with ease, and each time you access the digital newsletter, those updates will be included. If information is added or corrected in any of our MONTHLY newsletters, an email will be sent out through School Messenger. Please be sure that you have signed up and checked your contact information in School Messenger. If you use Facebook, that is another great way to stay in touch. Besides posting the monthly newsletter there, we post updates about events at Robison on this page. Below is information about how to receive texts through our Robison Families Remind 101 account. We might use this to send out quick reminders about events. We hope that you'll find the look of the newsletter much easier to read from a smart phone, as we know many of you access your email or use Facebook this way. Please be sure you have liked our facebook page. As always, our newsletter will also be available through the district website.

Robison Students Helping Our School
Thank you to Ambrose & Nolan Guerra, and Trever Bahr of Cubscout Pack 3 for taking time to weed and plant beautiful flowers in our garden. It looks amazing!
When you visit Robison, the first person you will probably see is Mrs. Fournet. She always welcomes our visitors with a smile. Please remember to always bring your ID to check in at school.
Mrs. Healy & Mrs. Gonzalez
Here are two of our superhero staff members on the first day of school. Both of these wonderful ladies support our students receiving special education services.

5th Grade Colonial Day Meeting
Colonial Day is coming for Robison 5th graders!
Our 5th graders will soon get to experience life in Colonial America. Mark your calendars for Friday, November 20 for a day filled with candle-making, butter-making, quilting, and so much more! An all-day event like this needs lots of volunteers to help it run smoothly. We have scheduled our first Colonial Day planning meeting for Monday, September 14 at 12:45 in the PTO room. Please plan to join us to learn how you can be involved in making this a memorable day for our kiddos. We will be discussing the stations and placing our station chairs. If you have any questions, please contact Kim Worchesik email@example.com or Shannon Bickham firstname.lastname@example.org
Parents: Have you ever been curious about what Cub Scouting is all about? Consider this: A scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent. Cub scouting is an opportunity to reinforce what you are teaching your sons at home in a way that is FUN, safe, and did I mention FUN? Robison Elementary Cub Scout Pack 3 welcomes you and your 1st-5th grade boys to come and get more information about the most fun you and your son can have in elementary school. We are hosting a Cub Scout Rally Wednesday night, September 9th at 7pm, in the Robison cafeteria. You can also join us for our first pack meeting Wednesday night, September 16th at 7pm. Questions- You can call Amanda McCumber at 713-906-7338 or email at email@example.com.
