ACHS Titan Times: Special Edition
School Closure Update: April 10th
ACHS Teachers & Staff have some messages for you!
And if, somehow, all those faces didn't make you smile, this definitely will!
Dear Students & Families,
In these unprecedented times, we just want you to know how much all the teachers and staff at ACHS are missing you all and how hard we are working to keep curriculum ready for you! Please do your best to complete your work, as it is vital to you gaining your credits. I am looking forward to seeing many of you this upcoming Tuesday, April 14th, for packet turn-in and pick-up at the ACHS Office from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you don't have access to the Internet/technological devices, you will want to make arrangements to come by the campus during this 2-hour window. See you then! To those of you I don't see, please know that we want to be here for you all during this time. Please reach out to me or any other staff members if you are in need of assistance. Be safe and stay healthy!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Powell

Paper Packet Option for Accelerated Charter High School, District Statement
Paper Packet Option for Accelerated Charter, Sierra Vista, Tech Prep and Countryside
TJUHSD recognizes that not all students and families have access to devices or high-speed internet and that TJUHSD may not be able to meet the needs of all its students through online instruction. The California Department of Education guidelines state Distance Learning may also include the use of print materials incorporating assignments that are the subject of written or oral feedback.
The paper option will be a comparable educational alternative. The paper option will serve as an equitable alternative educational opportunity.
Any family from these programs who have not been able to access electronic communication about picking up and submitting their paper packets can contact us by phone at (559)688-2021 or the principal by email (wendi.powell@tulare.k12.ca.us)
Please be sure to leave the following information in your voicemail (Student First and Last Name, School, Student ID # and Grade Level). While many of our staff members will be working remotely during our school closure, we can assure you that voicemails will be checked regularly.
During this unique and complicated time, we are offering support services and counseling to any students who may be interested. This is in an effort to help assist all members of our ACHS family in coping and working through the changes in schedule that have occurred as a result of the mandatory shelter in place order imposed to reduce the impact of COVID-19.
There are several ways that students can participate in these services: through phone calls, email, and virtual meetings in Facetime and Zoom meetings. Recovery Resources counselors will be available throughout the week and can set up unique contacts with individuals. Please use the contact methods below to set up a session.
Thank you and be safe.
