Blanco High School Panther Prowler
Week of October 6th
Blanco High School Vision Statement
Hello Panther Nation!
Back-to-back short weeks with this last week's early release and this upcoming week being a Student Holiday on Monday, October 6th make for a little different feeling around school!
Next week we will give the PSAT/NMSQT test on Wednesday during the school day. We will be moving our tutorials/activities schedule to Thursday next week to accommodate the testing time.
On Tuesday, we will be hosting Ingram Moore in the 1st of 2 big volleyball games for our teams. This game and Tuesday, October 25th vs. Comfort have HUGE implications for district seeding. We would love to have a big and loud crowd to support our girls as they look to take home the district title! Varsity will be starting at about 7:00 p.m. on both nights. I hope you are able to come out!
Senior pictures will happen again with Prestige Portraits on Friday, October 28th. We will have them set up in a spare classroom and your student can sign up in the front office for a timeslot to be excused from class and take their senior photos. These are the photos we will use for the pictures in the hallways and for the yearbook. If they are not able to be present at this time, you will need to schedule an appointment with them at their San Antonio location to have them made.
If your underclassman student missed the yearbook pictures, the next date for pictures will be Friday, November 4th. I will make sure to remind all students and parents of this date as we get closer!
We are partnering with Dripping Springs HS and our seniors will be able to attend a college fair that is happening at their campus on Tuesday, October 25th. We will be taking a bus and leaving our campus at approximately 12:30 p.m. and returning by 2:30 p.m. so our students won't miss any after-school activities and our bus driver will be back in time to run their routes. Sign-ups are happening in Coach Karnes, Ms. Perez, and Mr. Voyles. We are asking that they come professionally dressed and ready to impress colleges! They will need to be signed up by Friday, October 14th so we can send a list and have a meeting about expectations since we haven't done this before.
The next Admin/Parent Meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 2nd at 5:00 p.m. in the HS Library.
