PTA Membership Drive!
Good morning!
Last night, at Back to School Night (BTSN) 1st-5th Grades, I asked each family to do two things:
- Support the PTA with their membership
- Give generously at our most important fundraiser -- the Bushy Bear Dash
Thanks to all of you who've taken the first step!
I also shared our guiding principal, Leading with Kindness. With that guidance, the PTA will be doing a drawing from all family memberships submitted by Friday, September 6th for the children's book "All Are Welcome" by Alexandra Penfold (Author) and Suzanne Kaufman (Illustrator).
"An Amazon Books Editors' best children's book of 2018 selection. An important picture book about diversity and inclusion that shows a group of kids at school where all are welcome and all are safe." - Seira Wilson, Amazon Editor
I will announce our drawing winner in the next PTA newsletter on September 11th.
Do you have any questions for me? Please feel free to email me directly at bpesptapres@gmail.com.
Have an excellent start to the school year!

Fall Book Fair
Parents and Families,
Reading for pleasure unlocks the power of information and imagination and helps children discover who they are. Here’s what you can do to help children develop stronger reading skills
and a love for reading:
- Set the example. Let children see you read.
- Have a collection of books in your home. Update this collection routinely to keep up with changing tastes and reading skills.
- Support our school’s Book Fair. Allow your children to choose their own books to read.
Our Fall Book Fair, September 23 – 27, is a reading event that brings the books that your child wants to read right into our school. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. Please make plans to visit our Book Fair and be involved in shaping your child’s reading habits.
Fall Book Fair hours are the following:
- Monday, September 23, 3pm – 7pm
- Tuesday, September 24, 8:30am – 12pm* and 3pm – 8pm Raffle Night
