The West Linn-Wilsonville School Board held a virtual School Board Work Session and Budget Committee Meeting on Monday, June 22. The following are highlights from that meeting.

Budget Committee Approves Proposed Budget

The West Linn-Wilsonville Budget Committee unanimously approved the proposed budget during the June 22 meeting. The proposed budget now goes to the School Board for formal adoption at the June 29 public meeting. Interested community members who would like to provide public comment regarding the proposed budget can email Kelly Douglas by 4 p.m. of Monday, June 29.

The proposed budget reflects an estimated cost increase to PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) of $3.5 million. It also reflects an unexpected loss in revenue of $7.5 million for the 2020-21 school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent Oregon Economic Revenue Forecast.
