Make to Learn!

Join us to kick off the NCETA 2014 conference at NCSU! Registered conference participants are encouraged to attend and bring a partner, friend, colleagues, kids, or small groups of students to make, hack, and play with a variety of low tech writing and making tools that we've used in our classrooms.

Thursday, Oct. 9th, 6-9pm

NCSU Caldwell Lounge

Parking is available in the North Hall B Zone lot across from Tompkins. No permit is necessary for participants.

In the spirit of DIY (Do It Yourself) and DIT (Do It Together), we invite you to join the NCWP's to make, do, experiment, write, share, and collaborate on a host of creative projects related to teaching, literacies, and the Common Core.

Maker Spaces include: string art, black out poetry, get wired, cardboard cities, paper circuitry or squishy circuits, stop action videos, toy hacking/ toy storying, maker user guides, MaKey MaKey invention kits, automata, and six-word memoirs with Mozilla Thimble.

Light refreshments will be provided.
