WHAT WE ARE LEARNING NEXT WEEK
Reading: I can read with fluency, pace, accuracy, and prosody.
Writing: We will begin our poetry unit, learning to identify and use poetic elements (including rhyme, line breaks and rhythm). I can study the way author’s write poems.
Word Study: We will learn about conjunctions and how to collect and organize special words.
Social Studies: I can explain basic map elements and apply map skills through listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Science: We will review scientific vocabulary associated with earth science and review scientific practices.
Math: I can solve word problems involving addition and subtraction within 1,000 using a variety of strategies based on place value. I can generate and solve problem situations involving addition and subtraction of whole numbers within 1,000.
