BUDGET REMINDER
January 18, 2023
Dear Ridgefield Community,
This Saturday, January 21, is the all-day Board of Education Budget Workshop, which is an opportunity for each cost center to present their portion of the 2023-24 budget. In this email, you will find the schedule of this meeting, the viewing link, my proposed budget, as well as upcoming dates for public comment and discussion. Anyone requiring special accommodations due to disability or with questions should contact my secretary at 203-894-5550 x1200 at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.
These communications aim for transparency and engagement for all stakeholders. I look forward to sharing the thoughtful budget work the RPS staff has accomplished and hearing from our building leaders and collaborators. Thank you to our BOE members and the community for engaging in this important annual consideration of the investment in our students and district.
Warmly,
Susie
Susie Da Silva, Ed.D.

Tentative Ridgefield Town Budget Calendar
To those new to Ridgefield or the schools, the school budget is part of the town budget. After the Board of Education adopts a budget, then the Board of Selectmen reviews it passing on a non-binding recommendation to the Board of Finance. The Board of Finance holds a public hearing and reviews the BOE budget. Here is a tentative town budget calendar. We will continue to update it as dates are set.
Thank you!
