Last Day to Submit Final!

Final Exam CLOSES at 11:59PM TONIGHT

To take your final exam, click on the link that says Final Exam on your left hand navigational toolbar.

You must take your final exam prior to 11:59PM TONIGHT. You get only one attempt at the final and you cannot close and re-open the exam at a later time.

No course materials, study guides or internet resources are permitted to be open during the final exam. Academic integrity is very important here at NCVPS and the same rules for exams taken in school apply to online classes.

The exam contains a listening comprehension part and covers lessons 1 - 13. Be sure you are comfortable with hiragana, katakana, grammar and vocabulary before starting your exam.

All answers must be written in hiragana and katakana. No answers in romaji will be accepted.

*You must NOT use the Google Chrome browser for your exam! *

I recommend using the Firefox browser for your exam. This can be downloaded for free at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

Make sure your computer is equipped with these prior to taking the final exam:

Last day for LIVE Language Coaching

Remember to attend at least 2 language coaching sessions this week to help you prepare for the final!

Live coaching sessions are being held today. After that there will be no more opportunities to make up missed coaching sessions for full credit.

Go to the My Grades link today and check your scores to see if you have coaching sessions you need to make up. If you have any to make up, I strongly recommend making them over the next 2 days during the live sessions.

You can attend multiple coaching sessions in a day. However, please do your best to find coaching sessions to attend that are smaller groups. A group of 4 or 5 is a much better group to join than one of 7 or 8!

If a coaching session is too full, coaches may have to turn students away who are making up and they will have to make up with a different coaching session.

You also have the option to listen to an archive recording of a missed coaching session and send me a summary for partial credit. All the details on how to do this are listed on the My Coach link under What To Do If You Miss Coaching.

Please, please, please, please, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaasssssseeeeeeeee do not "leave points on the table" and not make up any missed language coaching sessions - especially if your grade is on the cusp of one letter grade vs. another!

Last Day of Japanese 1 is TOMORROW!
