Humans function like seasons of the natural world. We often easily respond to the expressions and changes of the natural world. Nowadays, many of us are inside, working year-round, maybe isolated with no windows to tell our bodies where we are in our natural cycles. So, if this describes you- I encourage you to give extra attention to exploring your inner nature this summer by exploring in nature. Go outside, get off your devices, sign up for a class or retreat, (schedule this now) go camping or take an exotic vacation that will tempt, tease and release your genius. Engage in frivolous play for the sake of joy, laughter and release. Express, connect, create and laugh your butt off! Get serious with silliness! :) Need a reminder of what serious silliness is like? Summer officially begins June 20th. Although we're fast approaching it, keep in mind all seasons and elements reside in us at all times. One is more dominate than others at specific times, based upon our own set of seasons. Sort of like saying,"This is just where I'm at right now. I'm in a good place/bad place, etc". It may sound complicated and it took me a while to understand, but the wisdom of the 5 element teachings has permitted me to experience my own 'season' and be ok with what is. I know "this too shall pass".

For instance, as I write this, it's late May in Raleigh NC. Normally spring temps are around 80-90's but today it's an awful rainy 59 degrees. It's like we're experiencing autumn during spring. Do you catch my drift here? We can be in one dominate season while experiencing another season that may be markedly different than the one we may feel we're 'supposed' to be in. Again, it may be grand to wrap your brain around but it gets easier to comprehend and was a bit of a gold-mine 'ah-ha' for me when I got it. Want to know more or have questions? Call me!
