MVE Library Highlights
This has been such a great year in the MVE Library! We are finally back in our newly renovated library! We used our Laura Bush Foundation grant money to purchase our new library books. Check out the highlights from our year!
Book Care
Mrs. Reynolds taught students how to take care of their books.
Makerspace
Students learned to create and collaborate during Makerspace time.
Read-A-Thon
Students were so excited to relax and read during our 2nd Annual Read-A-Thon.
Collaboration
4th Grade Podcasting
Mrs. Jackson's class used our digital resources to research and then created podcasts!
Jingle Bells, Batman Smells!
Mrs. Weir's class read Junie B. Jones and created book talk videos discussing their love of the book!
4th Grade Green Screen Commercials
Combining persuasive writing and green screen iPad projects were so much fun with Mrs. Jackson's class.
2nd Grade Research and Green Screen
Mrs. Powell's second graders learned how to use our district digital resources, and then they created green screen projects to tell about their animals.
3rd Grade Research and iPad ChatterPix
Mrs. Hagler's third graders researched their choice of animals and then created HILARIOUS ChatterPix videos using the library's iPads.
Teachers Bring Students to Library
It's been amazing having teachers come to the library with their students. The teachers and Mrs. Reynolds are able to discuss lessons in the classroom and how Mrs. Reynolds can help out!

Read Across America Week
It was so much fun celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday!
Book Clubs
It was amazing getting together with 4th and 5th graders and geeking out over books! Each month we read a different book or genre.
Book Tasting
Students were able to sample different books in the library during our 2nd Annual MVE Book Tasting event!
Embracing our Inner Book Nerd
3rd-5th Grade Bluebonnet Challenge
These kids read 5 or more Texas Bluebonnet Award Books and were able to vote and celebrate at the Bluebonnet Party.
They read ALL 20 BOOKS!
Jacob, Nathan, Mrs. Jackson, and Taylor read all 20 Texas Bluebonnet Award books and were honored at the Bluebonnet Luncheon, hosted by Mrs. Reynolds in the library.
Open Mic Poetry
April was National Poetry Month and so many students took advantage of the open mic in the library to share their favorite poems.
Book Fair Success
We made a profit of $2921.86 on this year's book fair! Thanks for supporting the library.
