GOAL #1: STUDENT GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT
GOAL #2: CULTURE OF LEARNING FOR ALL
This week found me:
- leading a secondary cabinet meeting;
- participating in discussions about LHS/LMS sports fields and drafting communications;
- leading our monthly central office administrator meeting;
- leading our monthly Administrative Council meeting;
- participating in a staffing discussion relative to the budget; and
- participating in agenda setting.
Earlier in the day on Tuesday, Judy and I spoke on the phone with our attorney in preparation for the LABTA contract pre-meeting that afternoon.
I'm not hearing much feedback from the public about our soil contamination. I observed Alyson speaking to parents at the Spring Sports Parent Night Tuesday night and she did an excellent job in anticipating what questions people may have and giving the information before questions were even asked. At the end of her presentation and as a measure of the effectiveness and thoroughness, there were no questions.
The LTEA president cancelled the Roundtable scheduled...and previously confirmed by her...for Wednesday afternoon. I believe LTEA officer election is March 24 but I don't know who is running for various positions.
Thursday afternoon Judy took a contingent of Erin Servillo, Michele Deremer, Mindy Milavsky, Sam Fierra, Jessica Cincotta, and Yvette Panasowich to the CJ Pride Job Fair.
GOAL #3: LOCAL & GLOBAL COMMUNITY
Thursday morning I attended a program entitled "Hidden Bias Gap - Gender, Race, and Zip Code" hosted by the NJ School Board Association at Middlesex County Community College. I was asked to say a few words about the "Day of Dialogue" program Mercer County School Board Association showcased at the dinner I referenced in last week's Corner and attended with Jo Ann, Joyce, Pepper, and Laura. You may recall that a diverse group of ten Lawrence High students and five staff members participated in the "Day of Dialogue" at Rider. Their photo is below.
