Letter from our Principal, Dr. Todd

Dear Mustang Families,

November is that time of year to enjoy the cool weather and gather as a community to celebrate the good things that we enjoy with a grateful heart. I'm personally grateful for such a strong Duello community that always shows up to support kids! October was busy with parties, Trunk or Treats, and conferences. We loved having a great turnout for all the events that families could be part of. Thank you for your continued partnership and support!

In terms of academics, November signifies the start of the second quarter. Here are a couple of ways you can be connected to what is going on at Duello:

The first way we can come together for student success is through the TylerSIS portal. On the portal, parents and students can see grades, attendance, discipline issues, etc.

Another way that teachers have been communicating all year long about grades is through email and phone calls home. Strong communication between parents and teachers helps set a good foundation for academic growth in our students.

Please stay tuned to Instagram and Twitter for details and photos from our day-to-day at Duello. We are excited about our continued partnership with you all and can’t wait to see our Mustangs grow!

Mustang Pride,

Dr. Danielle Todd

Notes from Nurse Amy

Cooler weather is finally here. Please remember to send your child with warm clothes for recess. I do not have extra jackets in my office this year.

If your child has gotten immunizations, please send me an updated record. This mainly applies to fifth and sixth graders who are starting to get the required shots for middle school.

As we hit cold and flu season, please feel free to contact me if you are not sure if you should send your child to school or keep your child home.

Duello Winter Spirit Wear is for Sale

Winter spirit wear is on sale until November 15. Orders will be delivered to school prior to December 10. The order form is linked below.

News from the Duello Counselors

Gobble Grams

It is the season to give thanks to all the wonderful friends and staff at Duello! Our 6th-grade students will be selling Gobble Grams from November 15 through November 19. A Gobble Gram is a note of thanks and a small peanut-free treat given to a friend to show how thankful we are for them. Students may purchase a single gram or a class set during their lunch period. This is a wonderful way for our students to show each other how much they are thankful for each other. All proceeds will be donated to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Additional information and order forms will be available soon.

Holiday Service Project

During this holiday season, Duello will again be partnering with Morning Star Church (MSC) and the New Hope Resource Center to provide Christmas Shoppe to families in need of assistance. We are accepting donations of specific gift items in a variety of price points or gift cards. We are also accepting cash donations to support our families. This year for the Christmas Shoppe gift drive, MSC has created gift registries at Walmart and Amazon. Unwrapped gifts should be brought to school or shipped to Morning Star Church by Monday, November 29th. To access the online registries click the links below. Thank you for donating to Christmas Shoppe to help our families in need. If you have any questions, please contact
