The Eagle's Nest

Week of October 5

Happy Sunday Families!

Kindergarten and first grade students begin coming to school four days this week, they'll be here on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We look forward to seeing them!

We are beginning a new program called Men of Distinction. Pastor Sheats of Unity in the Community Outreach will begin working with some of our young men beginning this week. He presented his mentoring program to the students and looks forward to them signing up. This group will spend time serving in the community and learning valuable life skills. The link to sign up will be posted in the students' Teams.

We have four important reminders for you this week:

1. Students need to arrive before 8am daily. This is becoming a chronic problem with some of our students and they are missing valuable instructional time.

2. We'll be having a National Night Out Parade by First Responders in front of the school at 9am for students on Monday and Friday.

3. Impact Aid cards are due now, please return them to your child's teacher as soon as possible.

4. We'd like to start an Eagle PAC (Parent Advisory Council) at Clyde Erwin. Please join us on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 11am or 5pm through Zoom. The links to the meetings can be found on our Eagle's Nest newsletter, Facebook, and on Class Dojo.

Join our First Parent Meeting on Zoom!

Parents,
We want your help with ideas for this school year. We'd love to give you a voice at Clyde Erwin and include you as partners in education. We'll need your help with celebrations, events, and more. Please join us for a great conversation and help support our Eagles. Thanks, Dr. Howard and Mrs. Robinson
