2. Now that you have completed all the practice and assignments for module 4, you will use your knowledge and understanding of Development to complete the Honors Summative. You are able to use notes or other resources but it must be your original work. The NCVPS policy on Academic Integrity is to be maintained.
TEACHER TALK 1
Before your test today, review the important terms from this module using the Quizlet below.
Our short answer today will focus on these development theories/theorists: Cognitive/Piaget, Psychosocial/Erikson, and Morality/Kohlberg. Make sure you are familiar with these theories and how they relate to your life.
The two links below will help you review many of the major terms for today's test.
TEACHER TALK 2
For the summative you will create a slideshow, it can be a PowerPoint or you can use a different medium like Google Slides. Please do not create a Zip File. PowerPoints do not open correctly in a Zip File. If you need to, create a PDF instead.
-
You must have at least 8 slides. You can have more if you need to. The topic(s) for each slide is listed in the assignment directions. Some slides will require you to address more than one developmental theory.
-
Your slideshow should reflect how you, personally, have developed over time (biologically, cognitively, socially, and morally). You must include specific personal experiences, where appropriate (slides 1 - 4). Be thinking, “how do my personal experiences reflect my biological, cognitive, social, and moral development?”
-
You need to incorporate terms and concepts from Module 4. For example: conservation, irreversibility, egocentric, attachment theory, fluid intelligence, imprinting theory, object permanence, social clock, the different stages, etc...
-
Every slide should have visual representation. You should include personal photos but if this is not possible make sure the pictures you use from the Internet are applicable and that you cite your source.
-
For slides 5 - 8 think ahead for what you would like your life to look like down the road. This is actually your opportunity to dream a bit about your future. Again, just make sure it is applicable to the concepts/stages/theories we covered in the module.
Use the two links below to review each developmental theory.
