Parents,
Thank you so much for attending our Parent University series in the past. As a parent I really enjoyed the practical advice and resources they provided us. I especially enjoyed the Screenagers movie.
Our spring session of Parent University will kick off next month with a presentation by Keeth Matheny on Social Emotional Learning: Addressing the Whole Child. It will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 6:30 pm at the LFC Auditorium. The program is free but you must register at the link below – everyone attending must register, as seating is limited.

Gifted and Talented Testing Registration Information (K-6)
Registration for Gifted and Talented testing opens Thursday, January 23rd and closes Thursday, February 13th. If you are interested in having your student test for the Gifted and Talented program, please use Google or another browser as Internet Explorer is not compatible. Late registrations will not be allowed.

Testing Information:
Saturday, February 29, 2020 (after Allen ISD Fun Run)
Begins at 12:00PM (arrive no later than 11:45AM to check in)
Test takes 2 to 2 and 1/2 hours

(you will receive a confirmation email letting you know where your child will test)

Go to Allen ISD website
Select Departments (top of screen)
Select Learner Services (alphabetical listing)
Click on Gifted and Talented Services (left side of screen)
Scroll down to blue matrix and select Phase I Gifted and Talented Testing Registration
Families interested in learning more about Allen ISD’s gifted/talented identification and assessment practices, as well as gifted services and courses at all grade levels are encouraged to attend the district’s annual gifted/talented parent meeting. This year’s meeting is on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. in the Lowery Freshman Center auditorium. Meeting attendance is open, so there is no need to register.

In order to comply with entry requirements for 7th Grade, your student will be required to have the following immunizations:
- Tdap (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis)
- Meningococcal
Turn in proof of immunization as soon as possible. If requirements are completed between now and the end of school (May 2020), then a copy can be turned into the to the Boyd Elementary office.
