Wisconsin Mathematics League Competition
The Clintonville Middle School participated the Wisconsin Mathematics League Competition once again this year. Students in grades 6-8 competed in a rigorous contest of mathematics skills. The contest was held on February 24th.
This year’s Clintonville Middle School’s 7th grade team placed third among 42 other schools in Wisconsin. Holden Young’s score of 29 was fourth highest in the state. The 7th grade CMS team placed 1st in their region (Brown, Calumet, Sheboygan, Washington, Waupaca, Winnebago). The following students scores combined to contribute to Clintonville’s mathematics success. In parenthesis indicates their individual place in the state: Holden Young (4th), Caitlin Huber (8th), Dylan Danforth (11th), Jarren Wilke and Katie Lamberies (tied for 24th). They will receive a plaque in June to recognize their talent and hard work.

Career Fair 2015
This year’s event ran the same as years past but with a few updated, interactive activities to get the students more involved. The "Thank You for Asking" slips were placed in the exhibitor booklet each student received. Students were required to get three stamps per card before turning their cards into the raffle table for gift drawings. In addition, the fair focused specifically on the 16 Career Clusters identified by Wisconsin’s Department of Public Instruction (DPI).

UW Madison Engineering Expo
Twenty-seven students from Clintonville Middle and High School attended the Engineering Expo at the University of Wisconsin Madison. They had the opportunity to tour the engineering campus, visit state of the art laboratories, view current discoveries and technologies, and talk with students and scientist who made those advances. Students were able to connect what they are learning in their current math, science and technology classes to the new inventions on display.
