Walnut ASB Holds Branding Iron Rally!
Today, our ASB program held a Branding Iron Rally to honor our Football team. We had performances from our pep squad, dance team, drumline, and trombone chaos!

Back to School Night - August 29
On behalf of Walnut High School, we are happy to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year! We would like to invite you to Back-to-School Night, Thursday, August 29, 2019. Our evening will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. in the gymnasium. There will be performances by various student groups. If your student has a 0 period, your evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the respective teacher's classroom. This is a great opportunity for you to follow a daily schedule of your son/daughter and to personally meet each teacher.

Mr. Maine wants to hear from you! Student Think Tank is looking for freshman students who are positive and who focus on solutions and have any great ideas. Your suggestion could be our next big initiative or event, but it starts by telling us what you want. You can also use this platform to let us know any concerns we should be focusing on.
Student Think Tank members need to be committed to the group and attend each scheduled meeting once a month.
If interested please visit Ms. Estrada, Mr. Maine's secretary in the front office.

Key Club - Backpack Drive
Key Club is teaming up with Walnut High School and participating WVUSD schools in a donation drive for underserved students across Southern California. Our goal is to collect brand new school supplies for K-12 students. We are reaching out to our community to help as many students as possible. All donations would be greatly appreciated and sent to Mr. Panlilio at Walnut High School in F6 until September 30th. Remember, it takes a village!

School Lunch Policy
Due to safety concerns, we DO NOT accept student lunches in the office. We understand the importance of student nutrition, but we encourage students to either purchase lunch at school or bring their lunch from home. Food, drinks, or other items are NOT to be passed to students through the fence. This is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
Please Note: Parents can now access the Food Services Department from our website under the Parents tab. On that page, parents can set up and deposit funds into their student's lunch account for purchasing lunch on campus.
