From the Principal...
Hello Seton Community,
I hope you and your family are well. Please continue to be diligent in your monitoring of symptoms and with social distancing. We would love to be able to make it through the rest of the school year face to face just as we have to this point.
A couple of reminders for all as we deal with colder weather...
- Please be sure to send your children with warm winter gear each day. If the temperature, including windchill, is not below zero they will go out for recess.
- Also, the school doors do not unlock in the morning until 7:30. There is no supervision for your children prior to that time and it is far too cold for them to wait outside. Please do not drop your children off before 7:30.
Thank you again for all you do for our Seton School Community. Have a relaxing long weekend. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, pray for us.
Sincerely,
Dr. Stephanie Nardi, Principal
From Home and School...
After much consideration, we have decided to discontinue our monthly in-person meetings through the end of the school year. There isn't a lot we are able to do given the covid restrictions, so our meeting agendas have been very light. As we continue to plan things through the rest of the year, we will be sure to communicate with all of you through email and flyers. Please feel free to email us at anytime with your questions and suggestions: homeandschool@sheboyganseton.org. You should have received the fruit sale information last Friday. The sale will go through Friday, February 19th. This is the last big fundraiser that Home & School will do this year. All funds raised will support the final phase of the playground project. Thank you all for your support. And thank you to all who contributed items last week for the teachers lunch. We are blessed to have such a caring and supportive school community.
God Bless,
Jen Lefeber, Jamie Gassner and Allie Schmitt

2020-2021 Seton Catholic Mid-Year Celebration
40 Hours of Devotion
In celebration of the 175th Anniversary of Holy Name Parish and as a Lenten observance we are hosting 40 Hours of Devotion. This is a 40 hour period when the presence of Christ in the Eucharist, is exposed or present to us in the monstrance on the altar. It is a time of reverence and prayer. It can be a personal renewal or retreat, bringing us closer to God and enriching our faith.
The 40 hours is a commemoration of the time Christ’s body lay in the tomb, between his death and resurrection. The solemn exposition of the Holy Eucharist offers the people of God the opportunity for prayerful reflection of their call to a deeper devotion to God and more faithful living of the Christian life. It provides us with an opportunity to become more aware of Christ’s presence with his people and invites us to a spiritual communion with him.
Our 40 Hours will begin on Wednesday, February 24 at 4:00pm and will continue through Friday, February 26 at 8:15am, concluding with Benediction and followed by the Seton School Mass.
Everyone is encouraged to make time for Our Lord during these 40 hours, whether personal prayer time or sharing the Rosary or other planned prayer opportunities. Reconciliation will be available on Thursday morning from 10am until noon.
There is a requirement that the Lord in the Eucharist be always in the presence of at least two people. This is especially important during the night hours when personal safety is a factor to consider in the church.
A SignUp Genius is available to schedule times at
https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040B4FACAE2DA02-40hours
As with the sanitation practices due to Covid, we will be scheduling regular times for disinfecting the church and public areas. There will be cards at the entrances that say, “I prayed here”, to place at your seat and assist the sanitation team in their efforts. We are also looking for volunteers to help with cleaning.
By spending time in the presence of the Eucharist we nurture our love of the Lord. Three graces have been associated with this devotion; the protection from evil and temptation; reparation for our sins and for the Poor Souls in Purgatory; and the deliverance from political, material, and spiritual calamities. Here the faithful implore our Lord to pour forth his abundant graces not only for ourselves, but for our neighbors, not only for our personal needs, but for those of the world.

COVID-19 Information
You may have heard in the news that the CDC has released options to reduce the length of COVID-19 quarantines. I have attached the Sheboygan County Recommendations for your review. Seton Catholic will be using those recommendations as listed below. We will maintain a 14 day quarantine as we are in a setting with many people and the potential for spread. Please be diligent with safety precautions as we are hoping to stay face to face for your children.
14 day no symptoms, no test option:
This is a 14-day quarantine from Seton School. The quarantine begins with the start of symptoms or the day of last contact with a positive case. The student can return to school without a doctor note after 14 days and if he/she has no symptoms. These days will be tracked in the office.
7 day no symptoms, negative test option:
Quarantine can end after day 7 of quarantine with a negative test and no symptoms if the test was taken no sooner than day 6 of the quarantine. The quarantine begins with the start of symptoms or day of last contact with a positive case. The student can return to school with a dated confirmation of a negative test and no symptoms. The days will be tracked in the school office.
Please note that household contacts are handled differently as noted on the recommendations below.
