Mrs. West

It is my pleasure to serve as principal of LaRue Miller Elementary. I am starting my 4th year at Miller and my 15th year in education. I am a graduate of the University of Memphis, Lamar University, and am currently a student at Dallas Baptist University pursuing my doctorate. The best part of my job is getting to encourage leaders and learners to accomplish what seems impossible and celebrate with them when they achieve it!

Personally, my husband, who is a teacher in the district, and I celebrated our 20th year of marriage this summer. We have a son who attends Frank Seale Middle School, and our youngest son is a student at Miller. We are proud of the community we live in and serve.

Mrs. Wendel

Mrs. Wendel is excited to start her 4th year at LaRue Miller Elementary. She has been with Midlothian ISD for 5 years. Mrs. Wendel graduated from Oklahoma State University with her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and graduated from Texas Woman’s University with her Masters in Administration. She has four children Drew 14, Beau 11, Delaney 9, and Brynn 7. Her boys attend Frank Seale Middle School, and her daughters attend Miller! She has been married for 16 years to her husband, Doug. Doug is the Head Football Coach at Midlothian High School. We are MISD Proud!!

Mrs. Boyd

My name is Amy Boyd and I am the counselor at LaRue Miller. I am beyond excited to be a part of the Miller family. This is my 13th year in education and my 8th year as a school counselor. I graduated from Texas Tech University with my bachelor’s degree and Tarleton State University with my Masters of Education in Counseling. I am a resident of Midlothian and am looking forward to serving my community and LaRue Miller Elementary. I have a passion for working with students and have enjoyed meeting everyone!

Nurse Sullivan

Hi! I am Joanne Sullivan, your school nurse at LME. I have been in the field of nursing since I graduated from the Reading Hospital School of Nursing in 1984. I worked in a hospital setting for 8 ½ years practicing in ICU, then Labor and Delivery. From 1995 until present, I have been a school nurse. In 2010, I came to MISD. My first year was at J.R. Irvin and then joined the Miller family in 2011. I am excited to educate and support healthy habits in our students and staff!

Mrs. Thompson

Hello, my name is Tammie Thompson. I am the PEIMS/Attendance Registrar. I’m happy to say this is my 17th year at MISD. We have such a dedicated staff of educators and caring parents. I’ve been married for 35 years, have 2 handsome sons, 2 lovely daughters-in-law, 2 precious

grandchildren (girl) & (boy), and 2 kitty cats. Everyday, you matter! #cando #willdo

Mrs. Greeson

My husband and I both graduated from Midlothian High School and now we are raising our four kids here! We have been part of the LME Family since 2009; our three boys have come and gone, and now our daughter is in 5th grade. This is my 5th year working in the office, and I absolutely love my Miller Family. As receptionist, it was a blessing to form friendships with parents. This year, I happily serve our amazing staff as secretary and pop into the front office as often as I can! Please wave to me when you come in...I miss seeing your faces and hearing your voices!

Mrs. Meyer

My name is Jackie Meyer, and I am the Miller receptionist. I am the first face you see when you walk in the door of Miller. I enjoy meeting all of the new families and seeing familiar faces. I have a 3rd grader and 1st grader here at Miller. In my free time, I enjoying spending time with my family, watching hallmark movies and shopping. I am excited for this year and I can't wait to meet you!
