Monday Memo
Week of April 13th-17th
Greetings, CCE!
Easter is a blessed holiday for many people around the world and egg-decorating is big part of the celebration as families spend some time together! Whether you practice your faith, partake in any egg-dyeing activities at home, set up Easter egg hunts (while practicing social distancing), or just take time to rest this weekend, beautiful colored eggs will most-likely be part of your weekend somehow.
The eggs you see in the background represent a new beginning and new life. There are so many new things that we get to be a part of during each day as educators navigating COVID-19 school closures. It is important to think about what new things you have learned over the course of online learning, social distancing, school closures, etc. Learning new things is important and this time has challenged everyone. One of the most important things to think about is the opportunity to count new blessings (such as learning lots about technology) and giving thanks for all those things that are still "unhatched" in our lives. Those "unhatched" eggs are there, just haven't come to fruition, but they are coming. Keep the faith this school year that things will return to a healthy normal. There are so many unknowns during this time, but one thing we do know is how feeling connected has a positive impact on each of us while we all #StayHome. Let's keep those connections alive for each other, our families, students that we serve, and our community. In this case, it's not just about counting blessing that we see but also those that we don't yet see. So go ahead and count those chickens before they hatch...keep the faith!
If you haven't heard from someone in your family for a while, haven't checked in on a fellow co-worker, church member, neighbor, or friend, etc. take some time to message them and let them know that you are thinking about them. Remember you may be the blessing that they need to hear from that day! Stay connected, stay strong, CCE!
Here is to wishing you and your families a very healthy, safe, and wonderful holiday! Do the best that you can with what you can, expect that families are doing the same, and support/encourage everyone you interact with!
Thank you, CCE, for being the best!
Stay Home, Stay Connected, Stay Informed, Stay Healthy & Be Well~

Launching Us Off!
The most influential element in a classroom: the teacher. You work hard to build relationships and students like you. Putting your face into your digital assignments makes a personal connection with students, even when they are using a computer. When creating an assignment in Google Classroom consider adding a webcam video where you just say hello, give clarifying directions, words of encouragement, or offer tips and challenges." -- Alice Keeler
