A note for students and parents-
Greetings!
For this week to expand on our mission at Emerald Campus, we have included a focus on mindfulness strategies as a means to reduce stress and anxiety. Activities we suggest include:
60 seconds of mindfulness during activities
Washing dishes or hands; mindful eating etc.
Simple Counting to lower heart rate
Gratefulness Journal
Quick Body Stretch or Workout
Acknowledge emotions and judgments, and then let them roll…
Practice Active Listening: Listen with your ears, heart, and intuition
Our next weekly focuses include-
Sept 20th: Combatting procrastination
Sept 27th: Discovering one's passion and mission
We will also hold a special EC Discovery Day on September 29th for our students to help them work on developing an idea of their passion and mission, including what they love and don't love! We are finalizing details for career exploration activities, college visits, after-high school experiences, etc. Stay tuned for more details!
Thanks!

Bullet Points
COVID-19 Data
The latest COVID-19 data for Dublin City Schools is posted at this link.
Social-Emotional Learning and Dublin City Schools
Student well-being is one of the District’s top priorities.
In the coming weeks (Sept. 27-Oct. 6), we plan to administer a social-emotional learning (SEL) questionnaire to students in grades 3-12. SEL describes the mindsets, attitudes, and feelings that help students succeed in school, career and life, such as growth mindset, self-efficacy and sense of belonging. These results will help us better understand ways we can support students' social and emotional needs. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s principal.
We want your feedback!
Please share your thoughts and ideas with us using our new tool called ThoughtExchange. If you already provided us with thoughts, you can return to rate the thoughts of others! Click here to participate.
