Special Olympics Connecticut provides opportunities to more than 10,000 athletes and Unified Sports® partners to train and compete in 27 Olympic-type sports and participate in four annual state games.


Come join us in our fundraising efforts to support the mission of Special Olympics Connecticut! Thank you all so much for your donations. Together we can reveal the champion in all of us!

The United States Air Force Band and Singing Sergeants Free Concert

On March 24th 2023 at 7pm, The United States Air Force Band and Singing Sergeants will be performing a FREE concert LIVE at Rockville High School. This is one of the top bands and vocal ensembles in the country. Admission is FREE but tickets must be reserved online at the link below. ASTE Cake and Pie Auction

Rockville FFA will be holding a Cake and Pie Auction on March 16th as part of their FFA Degree and SAE Night. Please see the attached flier if you would like to donate a cake or pie for the auction. All funds raised will go toward scholarships for our ASTE students.

Mindfulness Club

RHS is starting a Mindfulness Club for those interested in self-care, stress management, and creating positive mindsets. Chakras, crystals, meditation, and more will be explored in this club! A Paranormal Club is coming to RHS! We will tell stories, watch and critique spooky movies, and research paranormal activity. The first meeting is Monday, March 13th from 2:15-2:45 in room 126.

Looking Back on February

RHS Kindness Week

From February 13-17th, RHS celebrated Kindness Week, with each day highlighting a different act of kindness for students to participate in. It was a very positive week and we thank Peer Advocates for making it happen!

RHS Theater presents OZ

On February 23rd and 24th, the RHS Theater department presented OZ by Don Zolidis. The performance was a great success and we thank the many people who came out to watch, as well as those who volunteered or acted in the production!

Rockville Rumble Pep Rally

On February 16th the whole school came together in the auditorium for the Rockville Rumble! We recognized our clubs, organizations, sports teams, faculty, staff, and students. It was great to see the community come together and celebrate our accomplishments.

RHS Featured Poets

Rockville High School students McKena Clemons, Kimberly Yankson, and Gabrielle McKayle were featured poets at Arts Center East on Sunday, February 12 at 3:00PM. Poetry Rocks is a quarterly series that gives RHS Creative Writers the opportunity to read with established CT authors. These RHS Students shared the stage with Manchester Poet Laureate Ryan Parker and New London Poet Laureate Emerita Rhonda Ward.

Black poets rocked Vernon Feb. 12! Poetry Rocks had poems of tragic Black History but also joy and humor. Manchester Poet Laureate Ryan Parker and New London Poet Laureate Emerita Rhonda M. Ward led the celebration with poems that elevated the SRO audience, with stellar performances by Rockville High poets McKena Clemons, Kim Yankson and Gabby McKayle.

February Rock Stars of the Month

Rock Stars of the Month are nominated by teachers at RHS and then selected from a committee. These students worked hard, played hard, and owned it in the month of February. Students received a certificate and a personalized T-shirt!

Rock Star Faculty & Staff of the Month

Mrs. Pitts and Mr. McCann were nominated by faculty & staff members and RHS students! They were February's recipients and received RAM trophies to display for the Month!

March in the Media Center

March is Women's History Month

Come to the LMC to celebrate Women's History Month. Check out a book from our display- learn about the women throughout history who have fought for equality, justice, and opportunity!


You can also play our new board game, "Her Story" in the LMC Makerspace!

You have one month left to participate in the RHS Winter Read-a-Thon. There is still time to pick up a BINGO card and book review sheets in the library. Boys basketball will play their first round tournament game on 3/7. Opponent and time TBD.


Our girls ice hockey co-op team has qualified for the state tournament on 3/2. Opponent and location TBD.


The cheerleading team will be competing in the state competition on Saturday March 4th. Good luck!
