Types of stress
Eustress or positive : stress that motivates you to gives your best efforts body gives off extra energy.
Negative stress- losing sleep after an argument.
Types of stressors.
- biological; illness, disability, injury`
such as having cancer and being stress about it
- environmental - poverty pollution natural disasters noise
Your family doesn't have a lot of money can cause you stress
- cognitive - perception of situations
Friends talking behind your back and you get really stressed about what they said.
- personal behavior using tobacco drugs alcohol of lack of physical activity
using drug can cause make you see things different and that can cause stress
- life situation- death divorce trouble in relationships
Grandparent died and you don't know how to cope with it.
Alarm responses
fight or flight
- fight - ability may be able to run faster and farther than normal to escape danger
- fight- first response is to throw a punch or just get violent.
resistance - body adapts to ‘rush”
- fatigue - body gets tired
physical ; muscles tires, leading to soreness and pain.
Managing your stress
One can manage their stress by taking some time away from the thing that is causing the stress they can also do some activities that will help. Sometimes running can help or maybe reading a book and drinking some tea may help.
Anxiety
the condition of feeling uneasy or worried about what may happen
Resiliency
One may practice resiliency by putting them self in situation that they will need to learn how to adapt to. One might be working with new people and adapting to how they work and how they like to get things done. Also By just being able to take any situation and learning what needs to be done in that situation.
Negatively effects for resiliency
Things that could effect your resiliency negatively making stressful situation more stressful so it makes it harder for one to adapt to it. Also if those around you make it harder for you to adapt to it.
