Welcome to the (mostly) weekly newsletter for Tison Middle School! The goal for this newsletter is to provide information on Tison programs, activities, and events for students, parents, and our community.


In rare circumstances, we need to get information out to you sooner than every week. Therefore, this is a special edition of the weekly newsletter -- you will most likely also receive a call-out regarding the same information.

NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN FOR TISON

Dear Tison Family,


Thank you for a wonderful start to a new school year. Your children are wonderful and we are excited to see what the school year brings. We also want to thank you for your patience in the first few days as we work out the kinks in our traffic pattern for morning and afternoon drop off and pick up. We have attached a map to give you a better understanding of the drop off and pick up plan.


We have two entrance points for parents to pull through and drop off or pick up. Entrance #1 is off of Meadowview. Entrance #2 is off of FM 730 near the apartments. Please use either entrance to drop off or pick up your student.


Parents using entrance #1 must use the right hand lane to drop off or pick up. The right hand lane is for cars that are moving forward to park and pick up a student or have picked up their student and wish to exit the campus. Parents using entrance #2 need to be sure to follow the directions of the posted signs. Parents should also pull all of the way through and use the traffic circle in the back by the Child Nutrition building. We are asking that you do not use the parking lot as a cut through. Students could be walking to leave campus and this causes a safety concern and risk for the students.


It is absolutely necessary that all car drivers follow the directions we have presented. Any one person that does not follow our directions will cause a ripple effect that will slow down everyone and their attempts to exit the campus.
