Campion College Newsletter

Tēnā koutou katoa. Seasons greetings to you all. We hope that you and your whānau have had a blessed Christmas and a very happy new year. We are so excited to see our returning and new students at Campion College on Tuesday 31 January. Nau mai, haere mai, welcome to te Kareti o Kapiana - Campion College.

Our College office will be open from Monday, 16 January. Please pop in and see our lovely office team for any enquiries:

This amazing team will be able to assist with uniform purchases and general enquiries.

All students will begin school on Tuesday, 31 January. It is our usual practice to settle students into learning as quickly as possible, with as few interruptions as we can manage. However, an important aspect of life at Campion College is community. We will begin by welcoming our returning students, before we welcome our new students and staff with a powhiri and opening liturgy.

School uniforms are now available for purchase from the College office. Whānau are welcome to come into the College during office hours from Monday, 16 January to purchase uniform or order on-line from the 12th of January. Order on-line, pay for the items and your order will be available from the College Office the following day (Monday to Friday). This is a convenient way of purchasing items when you know the size you are after. Please note, that if you do purchase the wrong size, we are happy to exchange, but please do not remove the labels from the item.

We will also be holding two 'Uniform Shop' Days on:

• Wednesday 25 January 2023 11.00am - 2.00pm
• Thursday 26 January 2023 3.00pm - 6.00pm

The Uniform Shop will be located in the College library on these days to allow for greater numbers of people to be accommodated at the same time. Payment can be made with either cash, eftpos or credit card. For any enquiries regarding the Uniform Shop please email the College office.

Campion College is proud to partner with the Manaiakalani Outreach programme in helping improve learning through digital fluency. One of the benefits of this is that Manaiakalani sources an appropriate chrome book for students to purchase. For 2023, Manaiakalani is recommending that students purchase the Acer C734-C1SD Chromebook.

Please note that if you do not wish to purchase the Acer C733, then any chrome book or similar laptop will work as a suitable device for student use in the College. If you have any queries please contact your child’s learning mentor or the College Office.

You can add yourself into a membership group that will give some discounts following the instructions below:

HOW TO USE YOUR DISCOUNT

1. Go to pbtech.co.nz then click 'Create account' or 'Sign-in'

2. If you are creating a new account, update your details then type BYOD123 where it says 'Membership Key' then click 'Register'

3. If you are signing in to your existing PB account, head to My Account > Settings > Personal Details then type BYOD123 where it says 'Membership Key' then click 'Update Details'

4. Start saving!
