Kenroy Family Newsletter
December 2021
Thank You Kenroy Families!
Happy Holidays! As I sat in classrooms last week, I was amazed at not only how fast this school year has gone, but also how wearing masks, being socially distant and frequent hand washing has not hampered student energy or their excitement for learning.
In Kenroy classrooms, staff are focused on what is essential learning and every day they take students on a very intentional "learning journey". Student data is showing steady growth and, of course, we are thrilled to be teaching students in person!
I remind you that physical and emotional safety still remains our top priority. We are not only strictly adhering to the Chelan/Douglas County Health District and CDC guidelines, but our Student Support Team, including our counselor and school psychologist, are working closely with students and families who need additional support.
We realize we are not doing this alone. Thank you for making sure you are regularly communicating with your child's teacher, checking backpacks/folders, making sure students are eating breakfast and getting enough sleep.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with questions or suggestions. It is through this dialogue we get better.
For the kids,

1st Grade Pick-Up to Change in January!
Due to snow removal in our parking lot, beginning January 3, first grade after school pick-up will move to the sidewalk in front of the school (along with kindergarten). We are anticipating pick-up to take a little longer because of this. To speed up the pick-up process, please consider the following:
- Park on a side street and walk onto campus for K & 1st pick-up
- Please have your pick-up sign (student name/teacher name) on the right hand side of your dashboard for easy identification
- If you are also picking up older children along with K/1st, please consider parking and walking onto campus. We have to avoid blocking traffic flow.
