Shepton Extended Spring Break

Monday (3/16/20)

Good Morning Stallion Families,

It has been an interesting spring break, to say the least. First and foremost, I hope that your family is healthy and well! As we begin this extended spring break, I wanted to touch base to let you know that we are all working diligently to brainstorm solutions for safety and learning. There are several topics I would like to clarify below to start the week.

We are all in this together and we appreciate your support through this unprecedented situation.

Take care of yourself and your family!

Sincerely,

Jeff Banner

Principal

Communication

Most of the communication to families has and will be sent on behalf of the district. If there is something campus-specific that needs to be communicated, I will send it through email and/or eNews.

Grades

The 3rd 9 weeks ended on Friday (3/6). Therefore, teachers are still required to submit their grades this week as planned. If you have questions about grades, please communicate directly (via email) with your student's teacher. Teachers will have access to email and will communicate in a timely manner.

Virtual Learning

As we receive additional information this week, we will be in touch regarding learning expectations / guidelines. As you can imagine, this plan will be heavily influenced by the length of this closure.

Student Activities

All UIL competition is currently suspended through March 29, 2020.

No student travel will be occurring during the week of March 16 – 20. Decisions about student trips scheduled beyond March 20 will be reviewed again this week.

All evening and/or off-campus events (banquets, concerts, etc.) are postponed until further notice.

Building Access

At this time, no students should be on campus for any reason.
