SHOUTOUTS:
To the EWS Community for the huge turnout at Monday's Meet & Greet and Have a Treat! It was wonderful to see everyone, hear the laughter, the discussions and to see the excitement in everyone's eyes. It was truly inspiring!
To our wonderful PTO for providing the "treat" to our "Meet & Greet" and for always supporting students and staff in whatever ways they can.
To the EWS Staff for their tireless energy, resilience, and flexibility as we continue to provide for the academic, social, emotional and safety of our students.
To our students for their excitement and enthusiasm as we start a new school year
With Appreciation,
Bill Campia, Principal

WHAT'S NEW at EWS?
As part of our ongoing Safety update the District has made the following changes at EWS.. The new entry hall window into the main office is operational and new safety doors and windows have been added to our lobby. We will also have a new visit pass system (not finished yet) so please be ready to have your ID scanned each time you visit us.
These updates would not have been possible without the commitment of the Marshfield School Committee, the collaboration of MPD and town meeting funding. Thank you for helping to make EWS even safer.
In addition, EWS welcomes the following staff in new or changed roles:
Mikenzie Matheson, Music Teacher (Friday classes)
Megan Gorham, PE Teacher for Mrs. O who is on maternity leave through December.
Kara Martina, Permanent Substitute Teacher
Nermin Sharkawy, ESP-Kindergarten with Mrs. Violissi
Jen Sullivan, Grade 2 Teacher
Jess Egelstrom, Primary Special Education Teacher
Noah Gilmore, Grade One SESP-Special Education
Blake Doyle, Innovation Specialist (Monday) for Grades K-1-2
Beth Barra, Innovation Specialist (Friday) for Grades 3-4-5
Alison White, RN as our new school nurse
In addition, we are welcoming three Preschool classes which have been moved from MES. These are district-wide Integrated Preschool Programs housed at EWS led by the following Teachers: Sioux Wereksa, Andrea Pendrak and Shaylin Morse as well as several SESP support staff and related service providers.
For information regarding these programs please contact the Early Childhood Office (located at DWS):

The District has rolled out a new website (see direct links below) which will have an app for parents to put on their phones where you will be notified of any school updates. More information will be coming from our tech department. Please be patient with us as we roll out our new website, it has a different look and we are still learning how to use all its components.

All families can contact aspen@mpsd.org if you have any questions accessing the parent portal.
