Our little friend from Room 11 is reading stories to our K1 friends. Keep up the good work Yonides!

On March 6th, our first readers were celebrated at JFK. Mr. Drezek and Mr. Longey were on stage, congratulating each first reader, walking across the stage. What a proud moment for families, teachers, principals and the first readers. Looking forward to the next ceremony!

During PAWS Time on Thursday, March 9th, students listened to the book Up The Creek, written by Nicholas Oldland and read by HMS Principal Lisa Hunter! In line with this month’s theme of Cooperation, students discussed challenges that occur when working as a team and ways to resolve conflict. Then, they created their own model canoe to hold 3 animal friends.
