Mrs. Cobb's Message
Dear Taylor Families,
I hope you all had a safe and relaxing Thanksgiving Break! Even in the midst of these uncertain times, we have quite a bit to be thankful for. We were glad to see our students as they returned from their break. We are now entering the Christmas Season. We are not having our traditional Christmas with Santa, but Santa visited us virtually.
As prepare for our Winter Parties, we are asking that you send individually wrapped or packaged items. For instance, instead of a big bag of chips, consider individual bags of chips etc. This one adjustment will help us reduce "touch points” during the Winter Parties, which will also help keep our students and staff safe.
I hope that you have made your Instructional Preference for spring semester. We will use this data to create our instructional framework that best serve the needs of all students.
Finally, on December 5th and December 12th we will offer Saturday School to those students who need some additional support completing assignments. We want these assignments completed before grades go out for first semester.
Season’s Greetings,
Calendar Adjustments for Spring 2021
The calendar now calls for students to return to learning (in the classroom or online) on Thursday, Jan. 7, a day later than originally planned.
A Very Taylor Holiday
Please join us as Kindergarten and First Grade present an outdoor, socially distanced holiday program on Wednesday, December 16th!
Parents should park in the large parking lot; due to limited parking, we ask that you arrive no earlier than 30 minutes prior to the start of your student's performance. You may set your chairs up on the front lawn, and please remember your masks.
Digital Learners joining us for "A Very Taylor Holiday" will stand in front of their class of in-person learners. Digital Learners should be walked to the front doors where they will be held in the Atrium. Parents of Digital Learners will pick up their children from the front doors.
Winter Break
Faculty and Staff and Students will begin winter break at the conclusion of school on Friday, December 18, 2020. Students will return from winter break on Thursday, January 7, 2021.

PTA News
Thank you to those who participated in the fundraiser. We did not reach our goal, but we raised $1,331. We will continue to try to find ways to raise money for the purchase of a digital
message board.
The top selling class was Mrs. Chhim's class. Mr Maffeo's class was 2nd and Ms. Coarsey's class was 3rd.
The top 3 sellers are as follows:
1. Angie R.
2. Kellie H.
3. Owen R.
If you have not joined PTA, you may do so on My Payments Plus. Membership is $5 and the portion that we keep (after paying GA PTA fees) allows us to support our students and teachers with fun activities and educational enrichment programs.
Thank you all for your continued support
Winter Weather is Here!
As the weather changes, please make sure students come to school with winter coats and recess appropriate clothing.
