FOR RICHMOND
DECEMBER 12 - DECEMBER 15th
A HOLIDAY SHOP FOR RICHMOND STUDENTS
Our school will be having a Holiday Shop for students to be able to buy gifts for their families.
Students will be shopping December 12th-15th with their class for one hour. They will have the opportunity to buy items for parents, grandparents, siblings, pets, relatives or even teachers. Students will wrap their gifts at school and bring them home that day.
Teachers will be given a specific day they will take each class. Your teacher should tell you the specific date.
Just a reminder...we may run out of items and some of the stuff may not be perfect. We are not Amazon and cannot guarantee too much. We can guarantee that 100% of the money will be coming back to Richmond.
STEP 1: ENVELOPE GIVEN TO STUDENTS ON MONDAY 12-4-2023
Each student will receive a Holiday Shopping List and Envelope to fill out before they come. Students should bring the shopping list and envelope to school on the day they shop. This will help students and volunteers know who the students are shopping for. PLEASE HANG ONTO THIS ENVELOPE. YOU WILL NEED IT FOR THE HOLIDAY SHOP.

STEP 2 - LOOK OVER CATALOG OF ITEMS
Check out the catalog of items with the pricing. We will do what we can to have enough items in stock. The prices range from $1 to $7. We tried to find a mixture of items for family, friends, teachers and pets.
Go through the catalog with your child and start to think about what might be a good gift for all of the people they are buying for.
STEP 3 - COMPLETE THE HOLIDAY SHOPPING LIST
Place names of people you want your child to buy for on the list, along with the spending limit and then the gift idea.
You may have a couple gift ideas. Don't worry, for the younger students, they will have shoppers to help them make the purchases.
STEP 4 - SEND SHOPPING LIST ENVELOPE AND MONEY WITH STUDENT ON SHOPPING DAY
On the day your child is going to shop, please send the completed shopping list AND money with your child. They will use this list to choose the items.
STEP 5 - STUDENTS WILL SHOP WITH WHOLE CLASS
Students will be shopping with their class. There will be volunteers who will help with the shopping, the choosing and the wrapping. The students will use their lists to make the purchases.
STEP 6 - ENJOY THE CELEBRATION OF GIVING
The students have always loved this day. Students will come home with wrapped gifts, ready to give to anyone during the holiday season. In all transparency, I hope you all keep the spirit of "it's the thought that counts" in your hearts. There are some gifts that may not be on your wish list...or at least you didn't know you needed some of this stuff.
Your only other issue will be waiting until Christmas to open up the gifts. This has been difficult for our students in the past. 😂
