Peek At The Week!
Week of 9/30/19
Principal's Message...
During teacher orientation, we began to think about our "why", to develop a vision and begin to set direction for the school year. Unity and Kindness were the core values we discussed and these were some quotes from our exit ticket that day:
I will...
"continue to support my students and my colleagues which in turn will foster our unity."
"stay focused on my "why".
"spread the message of positive collaboration though my interactions and collaboration with colleagues and community members"
"commit to embrace change and spread our message of kindness."
"think first about my why and decide my whats afterward."
"do all I can to help each child reach his/her greatest potential, work with all teachers to learn and grow together, and spread kindness."
"complete random acts of kindness with enthusiasm!"
Witnessing how this community embodied these two words (unity & kindness) this week, was incredible and noticed by everyone. Your power to impact (Butterfly Effect) the lives of others is admirable. You made such a huge difference for our kids beyond what we could ever imagine.
It reminded me of one of my favorite videos, "Every kid needs a champion," by Rita Pierson. This week I saw "Every kid HAVE a champion." AMAZING!!
Thank you for a great week. I am excited to see what October will bring...
