Proctors Needed

With the end of the school year, comes end-of-year testing. The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction requires proctors for all end-of-year testing. We are looking for individuals who can volunteer their time for this important task. Anyone wishing to serve as a proctor must be at least 18 years of age. Proctors will be needed from 7am-11am on May 30th, May 31st, June 1st, and June 4th. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Anna Taylor at Anna.Taylor@onslow.k12.nc.us or 910.324.4414. Individuals that volunteer will be provided lunch following testing each day.

Doughnuts With Your Darlin'

Trexler would like to thank all parents and students that participated in the "Doughnuts With Your Darlin" student-led conferences held on Wednesday, May 9th. This event allowed parents and students to enjoy a free treat while they discussed their benchmark data, established goals, and prepared for the upcoming end-of-year assessments. These tests account for 20% of the students final grades in tested subjects. Students enrolled in Math 1 will have their EOC exam grade account for 25% of their final grade.

Falcon Finale

The Falcon Finale is only one week away! If you are interested in volunteering, donating food or chaperoning contact Trexler's PTO at trexlerpto@yahoo.com. If you would like more information, please come to the last Falcon Finale planning session on Thursday, May 17th at 6:30pm in the first mobile unit on the right side of the campus.

Honor Roll and Principal's List Celebration

As mentioned in previous editions of The Nest, Trexler has worked to find exciting ways to reward and celebrate students that have earned Honor Roll or Principal’s List this school year. Our school is pleased to announce that students who have earned Honor Roll or Principal's List for the 3rd 9 Weeks will be eligible to participate in a free dance on Monday, May 14th. The dance will held during school hours and students will be able to celebrate their achievement.

We Appreciate You!

This week the Onslow County School District participated in Educator Appreciation Week. Trexler's staff is appreciative of all the thank you notes, tweets, and special treats that our parents, students, staff, community members, and PTO have provided. We are blessed to work in such a great school system and a wonderful community!
