All community members are encouraged to attend the virtual PTO meeting on Tuesday at 5:30 pm. The agenda will include holiday teacher appreciation so thank you in advance for tuning in.

Our December Spirit Night will be a double at Phil's Icehouse & Amy's Icecream at the Lake Creek location and it lasts all day. Feel free to visit or order for lunch or dinner. For on-site dining, mention AIS at the register. For online orders, please add "Austin International School" in the chef's notes section. You may pickup orders curbside or use Door Dash for delivery. Thanks for participating and thanks to Phil's & Amy's!
Spring Afterschool Activities
We will have limited offerings for our spring afterschool activity classes which will be offered by grade. Stay tuned for more information and registration details next week.
AIS Gala update
The Gala Committee is well underway on the plans for our annual event. In this, our 20th year, and our 10th gala, we look forward to celebrating with our community. Like most things these days, COVID affects what we have in store. This year, our event will be in February or early March and will look a bit different as we reimagine the experience. Please stay tuned next week for a community survey to gather your input and inform our plans.
We will still hold a wonderful online silent auction full of amazing experiences, gifts, libations, vacation getaways, and more. Here is a sneak peek of just a few items: a 1-night stay at Fairmont Austin, several Caribbean vacation packages to Barbados, Antigua, The Grenadines, Panama, & St. Lucia, gift baskets and gift cards to Maudie's, Home Slice Pizza, Slow North, King's Florist, Crux Climbing Center, a family photo session, and much more!
Thank you in advance for filling out our survey and here are other ways you can help:
- Do you own a business or provide services? Consider donating a gift certificate for our event.
- As the holidays approach, be on the lookout for promotional gift cards (buy 1 get 1, etc.) or donate those valid gift cards you haven't used to the school.
- Spread the word and/or make an ask to your service providers, restaurants, or stores you frequent and inquire if they will donate an item or service. You can find an easy in-kind packet to pass along here.
- Or if you have contacts but want us to ask, forward that along to April & the Gala Cte.
