Luxembourg was never part of another country at any point. It is located between France, Germany, and Belgium. Luxembourg has one river running straight through it.


The coloring is derived from the Grand Duke's coat of arms. It is very similar to the Netherlands flag. Except Luxembourg uses a lighter blue than the Netherlands flag.
