All Kindergarten, 2nd grade and New to Illinois Students need to have a current dental examination form on file. Any exam dated 2/15/20 or later can be used.

Our new school picture date is February 4, 2021 and picture retakes are scheduled for March 3, 2021. Please click on the file below to find information about pre-ordering. All orders must be submitted prior to picture day. Please feel free to reach out to the office with any questions or email nor-office@d303.org

Remote student pictures will be taken the same day. Students with last names A-L will be from 2:00-2:45 and M-Z from 2:45-3:30. Please enter though door 12 which is on the circle side drive of the building. Only students will be allowed in the building for pictures.

The District 303 Community Preschool Program will be conducting its annual registration lottery. Enrollment will be offered online from January 19 to February 2, 2021. Two informational meetings will be offered via Zoom for all interested community families who reside in District 303. The lottery enrollment link and informational meeting's registration link can be found on the District website on the Early Childhood page. Please note, in order to receive the Zoom links for the informational meetings, you must complete the registration form.

The District 303 Kindergarten enrollment process for the 2021-2022 school year will be virtual! Between January 19 and March 12, families will be able to enroll their kindergarten-age children by visiting the Kindergarten Registration & Information page of the District 303 website. On the site you will find:

• The New Student Intake Form (coming January 19, 2021)

• The Kindergarten Step-by-Step Guide for registration

• Health and Dental exams and immunization information

• Contact information for all elementary schools

• Information about Full Day and Half Day Kindergarten

MIDDLE SCHOOL TRANSFERS - REQUEST PERIOD OPEN FROM FEB. 1 - FEB. 26

Families who wish to submit a Middle School Transfer request may do so beginning February 1, 2021. Families must complete a separate form for each student they want to be transferred. Requests are granted based on space available. This means that siblings are not guaranteed placement. A written decision will be communicated to families before spring break.

Once the request is approved, a student may remain at that middle school throughout his or her middle school career, as long as the student resides in District 303.

Families of students granted permission to attend a school outside of their assigned attendance area are responsible for their own transportation.

Students will return to their assigned attendance area high school regardless of the middle school attended.

The Middle School Transfer request window will close at 4:00pm on February 26, 2021.

Norton Creek’s very own Brownie Troop 1150 has joined forces with all of you CARING EAGLES to collect food for a winter food drive from NOW through February 12. Contributions will be donated to the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry to help feed their 60,000 annual guests. Specific needs are: cereal, canned tuna/chicken and canned soup. Policy Regarding if a Member of a Student's Household is symptomatic without diagnostic testing or clinical evaluation.

If an individual in a student's home is experiencing COVID like symptoms and has not received a COVID test or has not been evaluated by a health care provider then household members (any person living in the home e.g. siblings that attend any D303 school, parents) are to quarantine.

COVID-like symptoms include: Fever (100.4° F or higher), new onset of moderate to severe headache, shortness of breath, new cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain from an unknown cause, new congestion/runny nose, new loss of sense of taste or smell, nausea, fatigue from unknown cause, muscle or body aches. Medical Evaluation and Testing are Strongly Recommended for ALL persons with COVID-Like Symptoms.

Students will be able to return to school when:

• If a COVID test is completed for the family member and test results are negative, the students in the family may return to school.
• If the symptomatic family member is evaluated by his/her doctor and an alternative diagnosis is given to the family member, the students in the family may return to school.
• If no COVID testing or no evaluation by a healthcare provider of the symptomatic family member, the family member will need to stay home 10 calendar days from onset of symptoms and ALL children in the family will need to stay home 14 calendar days from the onset of symptoms.
• If the symptomatic family member tests positive for COVID-19, the symptomatic family will stay home for 10 calendar days and need a release from isolation letter from the health department. All children in the family will need to stay home for 14 days and will need a release from quarantine letter from their local health department.
