One reference to history is of course the setting of the book...the Holocaust. My others are parts of the Holocaust. My second is when they took Hana to the gas chamber my evidence is when the book says "The door closed behind them with a frighting bang." My last is when Hana got taken to her uncles farm and the book says "Uncle Ludvick told the children to gather up their most treasured things."

The biggest character in my book is Hana. Hana is a young Jewish girl during the Holocaust. She displays bravery by not crying or throwing a fit when she was taken from her brother. She also displays bravery by going willingly to her aunt and uncles even though she didn't want too. Hana was basically the only main character.

I thought this book was really an amazing story of a young Jewish girl. I would totally recommend this book to just about anyone, because it is a heart warming story a lot of people would enjoy. One of my pieces of evidence is that Hana doesn't make it to the end and this evidence supports my opinion about it being heartwarming.
What is the main setting of the book (location and time period)?
The Time period of the book Hana's suitcase goes back and forth between 1940 and 2011. The location is a German neighborhood and a concentration camp in the time of the Holocaust.
Explain some of the major problems the main character faced and how they were resolved?
The biggest problem was of course the holocaust. Hana was a happy girl until they started to put restrictions on things that Jewish members of the community could do, this problem was not resolved for Hana because she died before the end of Hitlers reign of terror. She also faced the problem of her mom being taken away by Nazi Germans , She .
