Concert Band Attire
IMPORTANT!!
Concert attire, distributed upon payment, should be in your possession at this time. It is imperative that students try on their garments to verify fit. The Fall Band Concert is October 10th leaving very little time for re-fittings and exchanges. Also check that you have other required items at home to complete the concert attire (black shoes, socks, etc.).

HSE Bands Dine to Donate Fundraisers are to support the entire band program. Enjoy an evening out of the kitchen and supporting our awesome band program! A little bit at a time can add up to a lot!
Bandcoming 2019 was Awesome!
We had 108 kids come out to a fun-filled night at Bandcoming! A big shout out to the Student Leadership team for planning, decorating and running a successful night for all! See HSE Royal Command & Guard Facebook page for pictures and videos of a fun night.
THANK YOU to Joann Kolesar, Yewande Aluko, Pam Pearce, Holly Conway-Eaton, Kim Povinelli, Marcy Vigren and Kristi Hibbetts, who gave up their Friday night to make sure the kids were fed and had a great time. A special thank you to Joann Kolesar and Yewande Aluko for donating snacks and drinks! You ALL ROCK!

It takes a small army to help get the band to and from contests and on and off the field. Thank you to everyone that has helped. We especially appreciate those that jumped in and helped unload the semi last night, it really helped the process move a little faster. The band can always use new volunteers. Please don't be afraid to help.

Pregame meal is on Friday, October 4th! We will be hosting a Taco Bar for the kids to eat.

SECRET BUDDY BAGS
Thank you to the parents and students who made Buddy Bags a success for the first week! We still had one person who did not receive a bag! It is very important that everyone make sure they are bringing their bags. Last night was just a short bus ride home, but the rest will be much longer bus rides and the bags are a fun thing to receive after a long day.
This is an optional activity for the kids. I appreciate the parents who wanted to donate bags for the students who were not participating or missing a bag, but we just cannot donate or provide bags for those students. It is their choice not to participate, and we do not know the circumstances behind their decision.
Next Saturday, October 5th, is going to be an early morning for the kids, so we need all bags turned in when they arrive at the school. There will not be a later time to bring the bags! It is very, very important that you plan ahead to have them here on time!
Reminders:
- You do not have to include all the items from the list in each bag, each week.
- All items must be small and able to fit into a small bag.
- Many parents will buy all items at once and pack all the bags and have them ready to go. No need to shop each week of a contest.
- Each bag needs to have the band members buddy name listed clearly on the outside.
If there is anyone who is not participating due to financial reasons, please let a board member or director know and we can make arrangements to help. Please contact me with any questions.

2019 RCG Fees
All RCG Fees are due. Please make sure your student’s account is paid in full. My Music Officestatements were sent out on Saturday, if you have not been receiving them, please reach out to studentaccounts@hsehsbands.com. Payments can be made on the HSE HS Bands’ website or a check payable to HSE Royal Guardians placed in the Drop Box in the band room. RCG 2019 Show Shirt Delivery
The online store for ordering has closed. Show Shirts are expected to arrive late this week. We will send out an email about distributing the shirts as soon as we have the details.

IHSCGA Contest February 22, 2020 - All Day
HSE has been given the opportunity to host a large Color Guard Competition in February. This is a wonderful fundraising opportunity for the entire band program. This is going to be a bigger contest than last year with many more guards attending. Mark the date on your calendar as we will be needing MANY volunteers throughout the day.
