Food into non-perishable powder?

By-Emma Dyser

What it is about-

Swedish graduates are turning food into “FoPo Powder.” It is dried and powdered fruits and vegetables that can be placed in low-resource areas that fresh food and refrigerators are hard to find. It can also be dropped into relief efforts after natural disasters.

How is this helping us/Why is this important-

"FoPo Powder" is helping us by allowing us to keep the third of food we waste. "When we found out that one third of the food produced was going to waste while people in the world were starving, we couldn't back out," says Kent Ngo, one of the students that developed it.
