Wānanga ā-whānau: Te Aho Matua
On Saturday 25 of March members from Te Rūnanga Nui will be facilitating a wānanga focused on helping our whānau understand Te Aho Matua.
We ask that at least one member of all whānau to attend this special day. You can register by clicking on the red bar below.
Here are some answers to questions we have been asked this week:
How long does this wānanga go for?
We are starting at 10am and will finish by 6pm.
What if I dont speak enough Te Reo Māori to attend?
Kei te pai! For this wānanga, we will utilise Te Reo Māori & Te Reo Pākehā to cater to all our whānau and varying levels of Te Reo Māori.
What do I need to bring with me?
Nothing! We will supply everything, even a pen and paper (if you need it).
Can I bring my tamariki with me?
Āe, we will even have kaitiaki available to care for your tamariki while you attend.
Do I need to bring lunch?
Kao, we will provide all whānau attending with lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. We will feed your puku and your roro!
Where can I get a copy of Te Aho Matua?
You can view and download your own copy from our kura website https://whanau-tahi.school.nz/te-kaupapa/ . This link includes an English explanation of Te Aho Matua as well.

Census 2023
The next census is coming. It will be held in early 2023, with Census Day Tuesday 7 March 2023.
The census is a nationwide survey that happens every five years to understand more about life in Aotearoa New Zealand and how it is changing.
Iwi, community groups, local and central government, and businesses use census data to make decisions about funding and providing services that affect you, your whānau, and your community.
By taking part in the census, you help create a better understanding of your community and what it needs.
