St. Viator Parish School
Viator Voice: February 27, 2022
As Catholics around the world gather for Mass and prayer services on Ash Wednesday, we are bonded by the physical and spiritual connection we share as followers of Jesus. St. Viator Parish School will begin the Lenten Season with Ash Wednesday on Wed 3/2. Students will attend Mass at 8:15 (Pre-K through 4th grades) and 10:15 (5th-8th). Parents are welcome to join these Masses to receive ashes.
Parents will begin to see the students preparing their hearts for this Lenten Season through a variety of religion activities offered at every grade level. As your families embark upon the Lenten Journey together, please enjoy the resources below. On these websites, you will find daily prayers, activities, and messages about the importance of this time period.
Busted Halo - Faith Shared Joyfully
This is also the time that you can help us purchase quality books for our school library.
A dedication placard will be placed inside each donated book recognizing your family’s generosity for years to come. Just so you know, the average cost of a new book is $20.00. This includes the hardcover library binding, bar coding, shelf labeling, individual computer records, and book protection covers.
Because of the generosity and participation of our school families over the past years, we have added thousands of quality books to the library shelves including many Accelerated Reader books.
The library is dependent upon the support of this program for all new books. Thank you in advance for your participation.

4th Grade Created Wonderful Timelines on Famous Americans
Kindergarten Note from Mrs. Kiss
Our Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Sharon Cirone, has started a treatment to correct a health issue and it has been difficult to adjust to. Her doctor has decided she needs time and rest as she works through her treatment. Mrs. Cirone plans to continue to work as much and as soon as she is able. In her absence, the class will be led by Mrs. Jen Jones (who will step out of her role as Literacy Specialist) and Mrs. Janet Santos. In the event that more support is needed throughout the day, I’ll assist in Kinder. Let’s pray for Mrs. Cirone as she takes the time she needs to undergo treatment and heal.

TALENT SHOW - COMING SOON IN MARCH 2023!!!
Can you sing, dance, participate with others in a skit, play an instrument, or have a special act you can perform? After a seven year absence, the SVS parent/teacher talent show is coming back in March, 2023! Some classic crowd favorites are returning to the stage, and we are looking for a few more acts. This is our opportunity to entertain our kids, fellow parents and staff and build relationships with each other to put together a memorable evening to forget about the daily grind and just laugh, sing, and have fun. More details will follow, but please get the wheels turning on how you can participate!
